Sporting activities play an important role in a student's life. Activities include Physical Education, team sports, individual sports, and representative sports. The program will form a vital part of a student's overall education. It will be age appropriate.


The Sports Program stresses the concept of maximum participation and emphasizes:

  • character development.
  • development of team spirit.
  • development and maintenance of sound attitudes to physical fitness, sport and recreation
  • acquisition of skills and learning through progressive practices.
  • development of social, as well as sporting attitudes.
  • promotion of lifetime interests.
  • to provide opportunities for students to develop to their full potential in their chosen sport at all levels


  • Students will not behave in a manner that may bring discredit on themselves, their team, or the School.
  • Acceptable community standards of behavior to be displayed at all times.
  • Students will be humble in victory and gracious in defeat.
  • Students will participate in competition with a positive attitude towards winning and losing.
  • Values of fair play, tolerance, courtesy and a respect for the safety and well-being of others are to be encouraged at all times.
  • Students must respect and observe the decisions and directions of all referees and umpires and should not criticize or question the decisions given during matches.
  • Emotional outbursts or displays of bad temper or foul play (including flagrant breaking of the rules of the game) will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
  • All students will be encouraged to do their best at all times.
