At Al Shomoukh International School we are very fortunate to have supportive, able and active Parent Teacher Association (PTA) which allows us to build close links between home and school. The school’s Parent Teacher Association Committee is run by parents to promote a sense of community between parents, teachers and children. We consider an effective PTA must be well organised in arranging social events and in having a positive working relationship with the school.
If you would like to be involved in any way, please contact the PTA on; pta@alshomoukh.com

The Schools Student Council is a body of students elected by their peers in a formal election setting. These students represent the views of all the pupils and consider ways to improve our learning community.
The School Council is made up of representatives from each class from Grades 3 to Grades 12.
The purpose of Student Council is to promote Respect, Integrity, Pride, Service, and Achievement in our school. We encourage our students to get involved in issues that concern them, in and around the school. Communication is in the form of written Proposals following Student Council Meetings with minutes. The Student Council communicates directly with Senior Leaders in our Learning Community. We focus on listening to the views of all students. Previously, our Student Council has identified the need for awareness around Online Safety. They devised an Awareness Campaign focusing on E-Safety and Cyber Bullying. Our elected Student Councilors led an awareness campaign and presented e-safety to content to their peers during assemblies.
